At Regency Retirement Village of Birmingham, we’re honored to be part of this next chapter in your life. Moving into a senior living community is a big step—one that should feel exciting, not overwhelming. Here’s everything you need to know to make your transition smooth and stress-free.
Apartment Setup
All apartments are unfurnished, giving you the freedom to create a space that feels like home. We encourage you to bring familiar pieces that bring comfort and joy. Popular items include:
- Bed, recliner, or loveseat/sofa
- Dining table and chairs
- Artwork, photos, books, and personal décor
- Rugs, lamps, and soft lighting
- Towels, linens, and toiletries
Visitation Policy
Our welcoming environment includes unlimited visiting hours. The lobby is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. After-hours guests may ring the doorbell for entry.
Meal Services
Meals are served daily in our dining room, with in-room dining available during brief illness. Guests are welcome. Outside food is permitted if properly labeled and stored.
Safety & Clean Environment
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. For safety, residents are asked to sign in and out when leaving for outings.
Transportation Services
We offer scheduled transportation for:
- Shopping
- Medical appointments
- Local events and outings
Daily Activities & Enrichment
Residents enjoy a full calendar of daily activities, updated monthly and thoughtfully designed to promote wellness, connection, and joy.
Gifts & Donations
Staff are not permitted to accept gratuities. To contribute a gift to the community, please speak with the Executive Director.
Discharge Notice
A 30-day written notice is required for all discharges. Rent will continue until all personal belongings have been removed.
