July – Resident Spotlight
This month’s featured resident is Mr. George Taylor. Mr. George has been a resident of Birmingham for most of his life. He worked in the steam plant industry, and later moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where he worked to lay out drawings for the freeways. The most important thing about Mr. George is that he is famous for making and creating different types of table lamps from historic items that others might consider to be junk.
Mr. George was married with two children, and he and his wife enjoyed traveling the world. He has visited Europe, China, Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada. But most of all Mr. George loved working in his shop, and that’s what he misses the most. We’re honored to have Mr. George here at Regency Retirement Village!
